OUR MISSION

Help the Needy Organization mission is to improve the lives of vulnerable people by mobilizing the power of humanity around the world.

Help the Needy Organization is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization. The population we serve include those in need of housing, food, clothing and financial assistance for medical services. The demographics we provide service to include men, women, children and Veterans locally and all geographical locations. Six comprehensive programs have been designed to help reach our goals and achieve our mission.

Homelessness – also known as a state of being unhoused or unsheltered – is the condition of lacking stable, safe, and adequate housing. People can be categorized as homeless if they are:

  • living on the streets, also known as rough sleeping (primary homelessness);

  • moving between temporary shelters, including houses of friends, family, and emergency accommodation

  • living in private boarding houses without a private bathroom or security of tenure

  • have no permanent house or place to live safely

  • Persons compelled to leave their places of domicile, who remain as refugees within their country's borders.

The rights of people experiencing homelessness also varies from country to country. There is no methodological consensus on counting homeless people and identifying their needs; therefore,
in most cities, only estimated homeless populations are known.

COMMUNITY NEED

A substantial percentage of the US homeless population are individuals who are chronically unemployed, or have trouble managing their expenses. This can lead to poverty. Factors that can lead to economic struggle include neighbourhood gentrification, drug addiction or gambling addiction, job loss, debt, chronic overspending of money, loss of money and/or assets due to divorce, death of breadwinning spouse, being denied jobs due to discrimination, living off of welfare or disability income, and many others.

Children Embracing in Circle

The world of the homeless seems very far from yours - but in some ways it is quite near. For any of us, the loss of a job, the death of a spouse or a child or a severe physical disability could be the route to total despair. These are the very tragedies that have happened to so many homeless people. Struck by personal tragedies, the people in shelters across America, have lost their homes and have been deserted by the families and friends they once had.

Some people loose their jobs and have no one to turn too. This is why Help the Needy Organization was formed. To do what can we can to help these people. Sometimes just the smallest act of kindness and empathy can go a long way. There is a tremendous need for our services throughout the land. As the economy goes through changes, many people simply fall through the cracks, loose their jobs, loose their homes, get hooked on drugs, experience medical issues, etc. We want to be there to give them a hand and help in any way we can.

OUR SOLUTION

Help the Needy programs are designed to address the specific critical areas: Food, shelter, emotional support, spiritual awareness, medical services and finances.  Through

our volunteer network and direct services programs we hope to make a major impact
through our structured services program:

A Nice Hot Meal Program
The Nice Hot Meal program will distribute hot meals to individuals living in the outdoors, the homeless. In most cities there are specific locations where homeless individuals gather or sleep. Help the Needy will provide food services to those individuals.

Clothing to keep me warm Program
This program will distribute warm clothing to homeless individuals. Clothing distributions may take place in cooperation with other organizations.

Help our Veteran's Program
The Help our Veteran's program will provide multiple services to our Veterans including food, clothing, education and housing referral services. Future additional free services will include resume preparation, online training classes geared toward certain industries. The Online Training classes are conducted by professional volunteers. For Class availability see the HTN Learning Center.

Education is Important Program
This program helps people prepare for the GED. Free Tutoring in reading, math and comprehension is provided by volunteers.

A Child's Health Program
This program helps to meet a child's medical expenses by donating to help offset the cost of needed medical services. We sponsor with other medical service providers.

We are committed to serving and helping those in need. Our professional and volunteer members help meet our planned objectives. It is our constant focus to keep the needs of others as the main focus point in the services we provide. Creating a warm, caring environment is an essential ingredient in delivering quality services to those we help.

We are committed to the cause and hope to make a substantial impact on reducing this population and helping families and children regain their foot hole in society.
